According to AS, the club sees this tournament as a major goal, and wants to be the first winner of the Club World Cup.
This comes weeks after FIFA confirmed the Club World Cup will have the highest payout of any tournament with group and knockout stages.
Winning the Club World Cup would earn the club €140 million.
Meanwhile the new tournament will take centre stage with the first ever expanded FIFA Club World Cup set to kick off in Miami on June 14.
The new-look Club World Cup will feature 32 teams including Real Madrid and Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami. It will be played every four years from the summer of 2025.
