Portable Accuses His Deadbeat Dad Of Coming After His Wealth
Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has made grave accusations against his father, charging him with financial exploitation, negligence, and manipulation. He has also cautioned him against what he called spiritual intimidation.
The outburst comes after the musician and one of his children’s mothers got into a physical brawl due to recent family arguments that went viral on social media.
The founder of Zeh Nation bemoaned on Tuesday during an Instagram Live session that his father constantly separates himself from him when he encounters problems with the police or marital conflicts, while he keeps in touch with his partners for personal benefit
Portable alleged that instead of mediating conflicts, his father prefers to reach out to his baby mamas for money, a situation he claimed had repeatedly destabilised his relationships.
“Even my dad is only concerned with getting money from me. There is no time in the police station that you will ever come to my aid as your son. But you can collect the phone numbers of your son’s baby mamas and collect money from them.

“Are you not supposed to have a phone number and relations with just one wife, you know, with me? It’s only Bewaji, my only wife, that you’re supposed to know, but you chase after all of them for money. You will be sniffing around my family. You are with me, yet my life is scattered.
“My fans, why? When you are not with me, my life goes on. If people invade my house and I ask my father to report to the police station, he won’t answer; he will run and hide from my problems. I am facing a lot of fans, but you will not believe me.
The ‘Zazoo Zehh’ singer further accused his father of mismanaging funds meant for his building project, alleging that he inflated prices of building materials and took advantage of his trust.
“My life is good without you. I am a hero. You did not take care of me. You did not send me to school. You are just like Baba Mohbad; you have collected all my shoes and clothes. But when there is war, you will be absent.
“When I wanted to build a house, I told him to handle it. He was always cheating me. You quoted 300 blocks as 900 blocks for me. I want to roof a building for N1.4 million, but you called it N2.7 million. You stand on my toes because of my properties.
“When my mother died, my father said he was not concerned. Am I your only child? Leave me to live my life. My father was cheating me on the purchase of bricks. You were in Abuja doing your thing. Then you came into my life when I became famous.
Portable insisted that his father would not lay claim to his wealth or possessions, stressing that he would protect his assets and children from alleged exploitation.
“You can never inherit me. I will not allow you to do to me what they did to Mohbad. My father is ready to take my properties, including my cars and my clothes. I swear to God who made me, no one can inherit me, and I will live long before I die to take care of my kids and my properties.
“You can not kill me. Spirituality is genuine, and I will be spiritual with anybody. Assuming my mum were alive, I wouldn’t be suffering this much because she would fight for me. My father scammed my mum before her death; he is still scamming me as well.
“My father sent me away from Abuja, and I came to learn tailoring in Lagos. My father blocked my aunt, who raised me when my mum died, saying she used me for rituals. My dad chased my aunt, who used to stay with me,” the singer said.
Despite his grievances, Portable praised his aunt, Alhaja, whom he credited for fortifying him
“My aunt, Alhaja, used to stand for me when I got arrested at the police station. My dad has blocked her, the woman who raised me as a kid, so he can scam me. Alhaja, where are you? My father has scattered everything. My father has collected my money and cars, even though I haven’t bought anything for Alhaja yet.
“If not for Alhaja, who fortified me, I wouldn’t be here today. But my father caused Alhaja to say that she is using me for ritual, Alhaja is rich, and I am rich with everything she raised me with.
“Whereas, I am not supposed even to take care of my father because he was not available when I was born, he went on hajj, it was my mum who sorted out my naming ceremony. Yet, my father won’t take care of my family and siblings from the money he got from me,” he added.

Skales Responds to Critics After Crossover Night Testimony
In response to criticism after his testimony at Harvesters Church, Afrobeats musician Skales has clarified his position while admitting that his initial response may have been hurried.
In his testimony, Skales said that when his 2015 hit song “Shake Body” attracted new attention, Barcelona star Lamine Yamal was responsible for revitalising his career. He thanked Yamal for helping to rekindle his passion for music.
Responding to critics on X, Skales wrote, “I may have responded too quickly to the concerns raised about my crossover testimony at Harvesters Church. After sitting with it, I felt it was important to respond again. This time with more clarity and less emotion, for the sake of the Body of Christ.”

He emphasized that every believer has a purpose, whether within the pulpit or beyond, and that one’s calling outside the church is equally meaningful.
Defending his testimony, Skales highlighted that professionals—including musicians, filmmakers, athletes, and teachers—serve God through their work. Citing 1 Corinthians 12:28, he stressed that sharing God’s impact in one’s life is entirely appropriate.

Reaffirming his commitment, Skales declared his readiness to publicly share his faith, stating that as a child of God, he has no reservations about testifying to His work in his life.
“As children of the Lord, we all have our part to play. I truly believe that those who believe in the Word but are not in the pulpit do not have a lesser calling, just a different assignment. Just because something doesn’t happen from the pulpit doesn’t make it any less significant. Musicians, filmmakers, athletes, teachers, etc.
“We exist to make life lighter for others. We all function here, serving God through what we’ve been called to do. That said, I will never believe that testifying about what my God has done for me is wrong! I’m a child of God, and I have no problem sharing that with the world. 1 Corinthians 12:28,” he wrote.

Regina Daniels Undergoes Drug Test Amid Messy Divorce
In response to accusations and conjecture involving her estranged spouse, Senator Ned Nwoko, actress Regina Daniels has tested positive for drugs.
Daniels described the last few months as a difficult time and a significant turning point in her life in a message posted on her Instagram site.
Daniels claims that because of the immense love and support she has gotten from her family, friends, and the public, she chose to take the test to show her dedication to accountability, integrity, and peace of mind.

In the face of accusations that she is a drug addict, the actress stressed the choice to write her own story rather than let other people define her.
She wrote:
“The past few months of my life have been nothing short of heavy. one of those seasons that tries to sit on your chest and ask, “So, what are we doing next?” It has been a major turning point, one that shook me to my core. Everything I had ever known was drowning right in front of me. But here’s the plot twist…
“I didn’t drown with it. Why? Because I was carried by overwhelming love, support, patience, and understanding from my family, my friends, members of the general public. And for that, I am forever grateful. After much reflection (and a few very long conversations with myself), I decided to take this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me, the people who love me, and the people who look up to me. Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters.

“One thing that echoed loudly across the media was, “Regina is a drug addict.” And honestly? I paused, then checked again. ooked at myself in the mirror repeatedly, searching for this so-called addict. I searched so hard it almost felt like I was going psychic…because surely, I must be missing something. That’s when it hit me! people often project their fears, insecurities, and negativity onto you. But projection is not reality, and noise is not truth.
“Here’s the choice we all have to make: Do you allow yourself to be defined by other people’s opinions, or do you create your own narrative? As for me, I choose the latter every single time. The same mouth that was used to spoil my name is the same mouth that will build it back up.
“This chapter of my life is now about self discovery, self growth, and becoming even more intentional about who I am and where I’m going. I thank God endlessly for His grace, His strength, and His excellence in my life..because if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that He has carried me through it all. I’m still standing, still growing and just getting started”.
This development comes amidst reports of Daniels’ alleged divorce from Nwoko.

Tiwa Savage Says She Lost A Deal For Refusing to Travel With the Company Owner
Tiwa Savage says the desire for sex from female artists in exchange for opportunity is one obstacle facing women in the entertainment industry.
During a panel discussion hosted by Entertainment Week Africa, Savage shared her experiences of being urged to see powerful male executives to be booked for specific shows.
She also disclosed that she previously lost an endorsement contract when she declined to travel to Dubai for a vacation with the co-owner of the business.
According to Savage, the encounter made her recognise that certain executives place a higher value on her physical appearance than her skill.
She said, “I had been told that if I don’t go and see ‘this chairman’ personally, I would not be put on a show. I lost an endorsement because I refused to go to Dubai with a man who is one of the owners of the company.

“That was when I realised that they don’t value my talent but my body, which I was only flaunting as part of branding. It ended up hurting me because that is all they were seeing.”

She said, “The sexiness in my 2024 single ‘Wanted’ music video felt groundbreaking at that time. Because I just got married and there’s a lot of press saying, ‘She’s not going to be desirable anymore. She’s finished. Her time is gone. There are new people on the scene.’ So, I was just like, let me do something crazy.
“That was me being rebellious. I was like, Oh! You guys think I’m not s*xy anymore? To be honest, that wasn’t the aim, to just try to be s*xy. Because naturally, I’m not. Naturally, I’m a tomboy.

Content Creator Ugo Eaglet Reveals Why He Came Back to Nigeria
According to content creator Peter Ugochukwu Okafor, better known by his stage name Ugo Eaglet, coming home from Europe was the best move he has ever made.
Eaglet revealed in an Instagram post that the excessive expense of living overseas, which includes outrageous rent, utilities, and health insurance, had become too much to bear.
Eaglet claims that, among other charges, his monthly expenses in Austria were €1,700 for rent, €240 for electricity, and €400 for health insurance.
“These expenses were just too much. I’m not discouraging anyone from travelling—you have to travel to understand. But when you travel and make it, come back to your home country. Instead of paying unnecessary bills there, come back and invest in Nigeria”, he said.

He noted that these expenses had become unsustainable, prompting him to return to Nigeria.
He also claimed that many men, especially those above 50 living overseas, secretly desire to return home but often struggle to convince their wives.
According to him, such conversations usually spark resistance and conflict in many marriages.
Eaglet praised his wife, Jenny Slimzy, for her support and understanding, saying she had been instrumental in his decision to return home.
“Anywhere you go, I will follow you. Honey, what are we even still doing here? I’m even bored here, let’s go back to our country,” she told him.
“I thank God for giving me a caring, loving and understanding wife. Jenny Slimzy is the best thing that ever happened to me,” he added.
Since returning to Nigeria, Eaglet said he has been able to live a more comfortable life, free from the financial burdens he faced abroad.
He is encouraging other Nigerians living in the diaspora to consider returning home and investing in their country.
“Coming back to Nigeria is the best decision I made this year. Now I sleep like a baby, no more unnecessary bills or expenses,” he added.

Veteran Nigerian comedian Ali Baba has stirred conversation online after sharing his views on polygamy,
saying the practice, when managed responsibly, can bring peace, balance, and stability to relationships and homes.
In a recent chat with media personality Nedu, Ali Baba explained that contrary to popular opinion, polygamy does not always breed conflict.
Instead, he argued, it can actually reduce the problems of infidelity and secrecy that often plague monogamous marriages.
According to him, being open about taking multiple wives is more honest than maintaining hidden relationships outside marriage.
“Some people feel if it’s only one wife, you may not be able to control her,” he said.
“But if a woman knows her husband has another wife, she tends to be more accommodating because she’s aware that others are involved.
Many men already have children outside wedlock, so rather than pretending, polygamy at least makes it structured and responsible.”
Ali Baba went on to recall how polygamy once served social purposes in traditional African settings.
He mentioned that in some communities, especially in Ibadan, women would even encourage their husbands to marry additional wives
particularly to provide care for widows or ensure that no woman or child was left unattended.
He believes that in those days, the system worked because it was based on mutual respect and clear responsibilities.
However, the comedian’s comments have reignited debate on the cultural and moral implications of polygamy in modern Nigeria.
While the practice is still recognised under Sharia law in the northern part of the country,
It remains largely unaccepted under civil law elsewhere.
