Nigerian singer and songwriter Adekunle Kosoko, aka Adekunle Gold, has denied rumours that he had a “bone marrow transplant”.
He made this known in a recent post on X while debunking rumours circulating online about his health.
It all started when a netizen asserted that the singer had a medical procedure while responding to a question by another fan online.
The X user went on to suggest that the transplant will mitigate the effects of sickle cell anaemia on the father of one.
Responding to a tweet, the fan wrote, “Yes, he has, but since he’s had a bone marrow transplant, I don’t think it affects him that much anymore.”

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has suspended Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe. The actress allegedly assaulted a crew member on a film set.
Reports indicate that Igwe allegedly slapped a member of the Creative Designers Guild of Nigeria (CDGN) during a production. This prompted swift disciplinary action from the AGN.
In a statement issued to its state chapter chairmen and the national chairman, the Guild announced that Shirley Igwe had been placed on indefinite suspension pending further investigation.
The AGN stated that the suspension was due to “violence, and indiscipline actions capable of discrediting the acting profession.”
The statement further directed: “Members are hereby directed to refrain from participating in any film production involving her.”
