Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, is pledging his unwavering support for President Ahmed Tinubu.
David Umahi also declared that after God, his loyalty belongs solely to President Bola Tinubu, affirming that he takes instructions only from the two.
Umahi made this declaration in Abakaliki while addressing journalists in response to the president’s recent commendation of his achievements in the area of infrastructure.
The minister expressed that the commendation was priceless, stating it was worth “more than one trillion dollars” to him, as it affirmed that he was on the right path and that “God answers prayers.”
“I have told the president even publicly that my loyalty is to God first and then to him,” Umahi stated.
He further remarked that betraying the level of trust President Tinubu had placed in him would be unconscionable.
“When a man gives you the type of trust Tinubu has given me, you will be of the devil to betray him,” he said.

He warned that anyone who betrays President Tinubu after receiving such extraordinary trust and support would undoubtedly face divine retribution.
“Have you seen where a man presided over the procurement of a project worth N1.6 trillion and his boss did not call him to ask how he went about it?
“I am talking about one section of the project, depending on the length,” he explained.
In a fervent expression of his devotion, Umahi added: “I pray everyday that if I place myself, family and friends over God, Tinubu and Nigerians, let Him not answer me.”Nigeria: Nigerian fashion

“I also dedicate the president’s commendation to all those who pray for me to succeed in serving the people,” he said.
Looking ahead, Umahi revealed that the president’s endorsement would inspire greater diligence among contractors, ensuring the timely completion of key national projects.
“This means that contractors would be on their toes to complete about 30 mega projects, which the president will inaugurate by December 20.
“I am involved in the construction and inspection of the projects scattered across the six geo-political zones of the country,” he concluded.
