Pop sensation Ariana Grande, recent Oscar winner Kieran Culkin, late-night veterans, and former Oscar hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Conan O’Brien
are among the glittering new members of the Oscars voting body, which is expanding once more.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Thursday that 534 new members from its 19 branches had been invited.
Also Oscar nominees, low-level craftspeople, and up-and-coming global voices are all represented in this year’s class.
These include star Ariana Grande from “Wicked,” actor Culkin from “Succession,” who won the supporting actor Oscar for “A Real Pain,”
and also late-night hosts Kimmel, a four-time Oscar emcee, and O’Brien, who hosted the ceremony for the first time this year.

In all, the group features 91 Oscar nominees and 26 winners, including Mikey Madison, who took the lead actress Oscar for the best picture winner “Anora.”
Madison’s co-stars Yura Borisov and Karren Karagulian were also invited to the actors’ branch.
Ariana Grande, Others, Added To The Oscars Academy To Promote Inclusivity
Even after reaching its post-Oscars SoWhite diversity benchmarks, the academy continues to strive for greater inclusivity,
as evidenced by the most recent invitations to Ariana Grande and others
Meanwhile, of the class of 2025, 55% are foreign-born, 41% identify as female,
and 45% belong to underrepresented racial or ethnic groups.
Of the entire membership, 35% identify as female, 22% as belonging to a group that is underrepresented, and 21% are based abroad.
“We are thrilled to invite this esteemed class of artists, technologists and professionals to join the Academy,” academy CEO Bill Kramer and President Janet Yang said in a joint statement.
“Through their commitment to filmmaking and to the greater movie industry,
these exceptionally talented individuals have made indelible contributions to our global filmmaking community.”
If all invitations are accepted, the academy’s total membership will rise to 11,120, including 10,143 voting members.
