Benue K!llings: President Tinubu Promises To Clear His Schedule For A Visit To The State

President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Ahmed Tinubu has revealed his plans to visit the attacked communities in Benue this Wednesday

According to reports, the president was billed to visit Kaduna state on Wednesday,

but has now rescheduled his visit so he can reach out to the Benue residents

A statement from his media aide, Bayo Onanuga, says the President’s visit aims to assess firsthand the recurring crisis that has claimed numerous lives and caused significant destruction.

During his stay, President Tinubu will meet with all stakeholders—

including traditional rulers, political, religious, community leaders, and youth groups—to seek lasting solutions to the hostilities.

In preparation for the visit, President Tinubu has already dispatched the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,

the Inspector General of Police, heads of intelligence agencies, the National Security Adviser,

and the Chairmen of the Senate and House Defence Committees to Benue State.

The President is expected to hold a town hall meeting with all stakeholders during the visit.” the statement in part reads

Nigerians Criticize President Tinubu Over Late Visit To Benue!

This announcement has however met with more criticisms from Nigerians

who pointed out that the president doesn’t care a bit about the people

And only cares about retaining power and getting relected

This further stems from Verydarkman’s visit to benue State on Sunday, just few hours after the attack

The social media activist could barely hold back his emotions as he shared gory images from burnt bodies of victims

He also reveal that sadly this is far from being the end, alleging that these group of herdsmen are bigger than the government

Nigerians are however wondering how a normal Citizen could reach out to the people of benue first,
before the acclaimed number one citizen of the country, President Tinubu
They also condemned Tinubu for sounding like he is doing the people of Benue a favor
by clearing his schedule for them, when He should have been the first to get there
The Benue communities were attacked from Friday to Saturday, the 15th of June by alleged herdsmen, killing no fewer than 200, including children
