From a sizzling friendship on and off-air to merging their comedy dynasties, entertainment moguls, Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy are officially in-laws.
Murphy confirmed in an interview on Thursday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show” that his son, Eric Murphy, and Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin Lawrence, “ran off and got married.”
“Actually they got married two weeks ago,” Murphy revealed. “They went off — everybody was making their big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them.”
Eddie Murphy then joked that his “Life” and “Boomerang” co-star does not need to “pay for the big wedding now.”
It’s however unclear whether the newlyweds knew Murphy was going to mention their wedding on national television.
Eric Murphy, 35, and Jasmin Lawrence, 29, did not post about the private ceremony on social media.
