Popular Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has refuted claims of hiding the identity of her husband, Mr. Ezerika, from the public.
In an interview on the Dear Ife podcast by Diary of a Naija Girl, Kadiri clarified that her marriage is private, not because of secrecy, but because she prefers to avoid drama.
According to the mother of two, her husband is actively involved in her public life, emphasizing that they attend events together.
Ruth Kadiri further revealed that her husband prefers to maintain a low profile. She expressed confusion over why people expect her to showcase her marriage publicly.
She said, “We go to church together, we attend events together; my life is not as private as people think. In the events I organise, my husband is always there.”
“For clarity, my husband is not a secret. People who know me, know him. And for me, that’s enough. Like, I don’t know why I will sit down and be thinking, what am I proving?”

“When I got to the university, we had a play and the director said that the character must have a bald head. So they scraped my head.
After the production, the hair refused to grow again.”
Now known for his iconic bald appearance, the actor also opened up about his late marriage and how expectations once got in the way of love.
“The one that I was actually supposed to marry was demanding that I must have two cars,” he said, implying that financial expectations made the relationship impossible to continue.
The actor eventually got married at 40 and welcomed his first child at 41,
while adding that the only difference is that he is now paying school fees with white hair
