Kazim Adeoti Reveals How He Fell in Love With Mercy Aigbe

Kazim Adeoti says integrity was the major attraction when he met actress Mercy Aigbe in 2011, citing that she is more than a beautiful face.
In an interview on Oyinmomo TV, he recalled their first collaboration in 2011 on the film “Hajia Jemila,” where he paid for her role.
Unlike others, Adeoti said Mercy didn’t complain about the payment; instead, she thanked him and returned the excess money.
Kazim said he was impressed by her integrity and decided to work with her despite advice to only collaborate with men.
He described her as a beautiful woman with a strong sense of integrity, and their professional relationship eventually blossomed into marriage.
“What I really admire about her is her honesty and straightforwardness; it’s something I truly respect. I remember in 2011 when she starred in a film titled Hajia Jemila.

After I paid her, I was already used to people complaining that the fee was too small. But in her case, she actually came back to tell me there was leftover money.

Nigerian music legend, Daddy Showkey, has revealed how Fuji maestro, Alabi Pasuma, fed his family for three years in 2007.
Daddy Showkey made this public when Pasuma joined him on stage during his recent live performance at a celebrity event.
The singer in a viral video on social media explained that Pasuma was the only friend who came through for him when he had an accident in 2007.
Daddy Showkey disclosed that the fatal accident left him in the hospital for 3 years. Pasuma was the one who took over his family responsibilities.

Portable Releases Intimate Video Of VDM in Online Feud

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, aka Portable, and activist VeryDarkMan are fighting dirty on social media.
Reports that the two archenemies are going head-to-head, releasing diss tracks aimed at each other as they respond and counter each other’s claims in their ongoing online battle.
The drama began when Portable criticised VeryDarkMan for his constant jabs at President Tinubu over the country’s economic struggles.
He also accused the social media activist of exploiting the late singer Mohbad’s tragic case for attention, claiming justice was still not served.
In response, VeryDarkMan released a diss track titled “Ole,” which translates to “thief” in Yoruba, mocking Portable over past theft allegations.

Popular Chinese actor and singer Zhang Yiyang has been executed for the death of his underage girlfriend.
Zhang Yiyang became the first-ever Chinese celebrity to be executed by firing squad.
The Intermediate People’s Court of Xianyang in North Shaanxi Province made a report of his public execution in July 2025.
According to the report, the actor was executed on December 18, 2024, for attacking his 16-year-old girlfriend with a knife in 2022, cutting her left carotid artery, jugular vein, trachea, and oesophagus, which, after massive bleeding, led to her death.
Zhang started dating the victim in September 2021, before the victim proposed breaking up after a dispute.
After the murder, he took away the deceased’s mobile phone and discarded the knife and other weapons and related items in a reservoir to destroy evidence.

He made this known in a recent post on X while debunking rumours circulating online about his health.
It all started when a netizen asserted that the singer had a medical procedure while responding to a question by another fan online.
The X user went on to suggest that the transplant will mitigate the effects of sickle cell anaemia on the father of one.
Responding to a tweet, the fan wrote, “Yes, he has, but since he’s had a bone marrow transplant, I don’t think it affects him that much anymore.”
Reacting to the innuendos, Adekunle
Gold denied undergoing a “bone marrow transplant”, stating that the claims are baseless.
He said, “It is how you people will just say things you don’t even know with so much confidence. No, I haven’t had a bone marrow transplant.”
Adekunle Gold had earlier revealed that he is battling sickle cell anaemia in his 2022 song, ‘5 Star’.
