He or she has automatically become the owner of that property

Lawyer Stan Alieke Reveals How The Law Backs Illegal Occupancy
Taking to his Instagram story, the Lawyer wrote and we quote;
if you are homeless or can’t afford rent in the city you live in, look for any vacant property and move in there.
If you stay in the property for long and nobody shows up as the owner, apply to acquire the legal title of the property to become the owner.
This is known in law as adverse possession –
Long possession/occupancy on a property makes you the owner if nobody comes with a counter claim.
Even if a person comes with a counter claim, once you’ve lived in the property for long, you are regarded in law as the Bonafide owner.
Meanwhile, this revelation from Stan Alieke has been met with several reactions online
While some believe this may work but not in every state or area, others say it’s a heavy joke and no one should try it
