May Edochie Reacts to Alleged Apology Letter to Yul

May Edochie has reacted to an alleged viral apology letter to her estranged husband, Yul Edochie.

Addressing the viral rumors, May Edochie, in a Facebook post shared by her lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, tagged the alleged apology letter as “a desperate attempt to create a narrative when other efforts have failed.”

“May did NOT issue any apology. It was Yul who chose polygamy and previously apologized. However, such apology would not alter the current legal situation.

“Please disregard false claims that are being circulated. There has been no apology from May. She’s continuing to pursue the divorce proceedings and damages related to adultery.”

May Edochie filed for divorce in 2023, after Yul introduced actress Judy Austin as his second wife in April 2022.

May, who cited adultery for her divorce, demanded N100 million in damages from Judy.

In May, the legal counsel of May Edochie has appealed to the public to remain patient regarding her divorce proceedings.

In a Facebook post, the lawyer revealed that May’s ongoing divorce proceedings from Yul remain unresolved due to several critical legal factors.

DPA disclosed that while two of the four main issues, child welfare and property division, have been settled, the marriage dissolution (rights to remarry) and adultery claim are still being processed.

The lawyer also criticised the “obsession” with the finalisation of the divorce, adding that public pressure is not helpful to their client.

According to DPA, May is “in control of the family house, doing well, and has no plans to remarry at this time.”

The post assured that the estranged couple’s divorce case is progressing and being handled by competent lawyers.
