Pastor Adeboye Reveals What God Says Will Happen If He Tries To Leave RCCG

General overseer of the Redeem Christian church of God (RCCG), Pastor Adeboye, has opened up on the instruction God gave him concerning leaving the church

During his teaching at the HOLYGHOST service, held at Redemption City, Daddy GO revealed that God said he will kill his first son if he ever leaves the church

While emphasising the importance of divine direction and spiritual consistency, he referred to a sermon earlier delivered by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye.

He also expressed concern that many young Christians today frequently move from one church to another, often identifying as first-timers in new congregations.

Pastor Adeboye recalled that when he got born again, three major ministries were thriving at the time, and despite the temptation to join them, God instructed him to remain in RCCG.

When I got born again, there were three major ministries making waves, and they were very good. There were different temptations to go from one to another,” he said.

But God said to me, ‘Son, I brought you here. This is where you will stay. The day you leave this denomination, your firstborn will die.’”

God Said He will Kill My Son If I Leave RCCG – Pastor Adeboye

He noted that RCCG was relatively unknown then, with its headquarters in a small building in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

Despite being a university lecturer, Adeboye said God instructed him to submit to the leadership of his spiritual father, who had no formal education.

“I was a university lecturer. My father in the Lord didn’t attend secondary school, not even primary. But God said this is where you will stay,” he added.

He urged the congregation, especially the youth, to seek and remain in the place God has appointed for them.

“Discover where God wants you to stay, and stay there,” he advised.

However, Adeboye clarified that his statement was not meant to imply superiority over other Christian denominations.

“I am not saying we are better than any other denomination,” he emphasized.

Pastor Adeboye has indeed remained committed to following God’s voice and it’s clearly showing that Obedience pays the most
