Hey Movie and game lovers, yes! It’s real, Resident Evil 9 is coming and its first look was revealed during the 2025 summer games fest
The single-player survival horror game Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, for the Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Resident Evil 9, Requiem, represents a “bold shift for the franchise both in tone and gameplay,”
according to host Geoff Keighley, who was speaking onstage at SGF.

Survival horror combined with “high-stakes cinematic action” is what to expect.
The trailer appears to confirm a destroyed Raccoon City, which was nuked at the end of Resident Evil 3, via city shots that perhaps suggest open-world game design.
There’s also a brief look at the Raccoon City Police Department in ruins.
We may have a brand new playable character on our hands in the form of FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft,
who is investigating a series of strange deaths. She’s ordered to return to the scene of her mother’s murder, and in doing so must face her past.
We then see Grace strapped to a gurney and hear a mysterious figure say
“I know now that you’re the one that I’ve been searching for… special one. Chosen one.”
Is he talking about Grace? If Grace is a playable character, is she the only one?
Are established Resident Evil 9 characters like Leon in the game and playable?
Meanwhile expectations are very high, and we know that gamers cannot wait to play the game
