See The 12 Countries Trump Banned From Entering The U.S

A proclamation banning the entry of citizens of twelve nations into the United States was signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

The proclamation states that citizens of these nations will be “fully” prohibited from entering the United States.

Likewise, there will be some restrictions on the entry of citizens of Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.

On June 9, 2025, at 12:01 am EDT (5:01 am Nigerian time), the proclamation will go into effect.

Trump claimed that the action was necessary to defend the United States from “foreign terrorists” and other security risks.

We will not allow people to enter our country who wish to do us harm,” Trump said in a video posted on X.

The U.S. President also said the list could be revised and new countries could be added.

He said the countries subject to the most severe restrictions were determined to harbour a “large-scale presence of terrorists”.

He further alleged others failed to cooperate on visa security and had an inability to verify travellers’ identities,

inadequate record-keeping of criminal histories and high rates of visa overstays in the U.S..

We cannot have open migration from any country where we cannot safely

and reliably vet and screen those who seek to enter the United States,” Trump said.

Trump Places 12 Countries Under Severe Travel Ban!

Trump’s directive is part of an immigration crackdown that he launched at the start of his second term,

Also pledging to restrict people from the Gaza Strip, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Yemen

and “anywhere else that threatens our security”.

The 12 countries affected by the full ban include;

1. Afghanistan

2. Myanmar

3. Chad

4. Congo

5. Equatorial Guinea

6. Eritrea

7. Haiti

8. Iran

9. Libya

10. Somalia

11. Sudan

12. Yemen

This travel ban has been received with mixed emotions, while many Americans believe this is a misguided effort

others hail the President for being protective of America and it’s citizens

Well thankfull Nigeria is not on this list and hopefully it wont be on the list even if Trump Revises it
