VDM Tells Zlatan to Explain What He Knows About Mohbad’s Death

Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan, aka VDM, has called Zlatan Ibile to state what he knows about Mohbad’s death

VDM had shared an alleged voice recording between music promoter Sam Larry and Zlatan Ibile.

The recording, which has gone viral, appears to feature Zlatan Ibile conversing with Sam Larry in Yoruba.

Zlatan expressed his reluctance to get himself involved in the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death. He allegedly cited the drama that speaking out on social media brings.

The social media activist further responded to criticism about revisiting the case, stating that they are not genuine in their desire for justice. He emphasised his commitment to seeking justice for Mohbad, highlighting that the singer is yet to be buried.

VDM also criticised those who allegedly knew the truth but used intimidation to suppress it.

He said, “I am going to be playing a voice recording between Zlatan and Sam Larry, during the time Mohad died, now i expect in 48hrs Zlatan will come out to explain what he knows and why he did not speak out when we were seeking justice for Mobad. Secondly I see a lot of comments saying, VDM why did you bring this case back, it shows a lot of you are ingrates, I deliberately brought this case back because i see a lot of you have moved on, that is why our government cannot take us seriously because we are so quick to move on.”

Mohbad’s death stirred a lot of controversy when he passed on in September 2023. His former label boss, Naira Marley, faced heavy backlash on social media for the alleged bullying of the deceased artist.
